A Very Big and Exciting Post!

**This is a long post full of info and pictures!!!**

On Monday, March 21, I had my 20 week ultrasound/ doctor's appointment. I was really looking forward to this day because I have not seen the little peanut since about 5 weeks! We were very anxious to see that the baby is growing and is healthy. My appointment was at 10:30 and, of course, we had to wait a little while. Finally, it was time for the ultrasound. The technician was very nice and told us about all the parts she was looking at. We saw the heart beating (142 bpm), the chambers of the heart, feet, hands, spine, face, organs, etc. and it was so awesome. The baby was moving around, too! Throughout the ultrasound, the technician said "he" a few times. I even thought I saw a little boy part, too. With the Barsanti boy history, we thought for sure it was going to be a boy.

After looking at all the parts she was supposed to, the technician told us we could find out the sex. We asked her if she had seen it yet and she said she had not. Then, she said, "You aren't going to believe this... You are having a GIRL!" Jared let out a shout of joy and I asked a few times if she was sure. She has been doing this for over 20 years and only been wrong once. haha

WE ARE HAVING A GIRL! OH.MY.GOSH. We certainly would have been super happy if it was a boy, but we are thrilled to be having a little girl!!! Now Jayden is going to have a little sister to take care of! :)

I do not have a scanner, so I took pictures of the ultrasound pictures. They are not that clear, but you will get the idea. Here are pictures of our sweet baby girl!!!

Here is her profile:

It's a GIRL!:

The technician flipped over to 4D for us. WOW. That was neat! She has her arm up against her little face! :)

After the appointment, Jared and I went out to lunch to celebrate before heading to Babies R Us to do some shopping! Lunch was great and I think we both said "I can't believe it's a girl" about a million times.

We knew exactly what we wanted to do after the appointment. SHOP. Jared told me if it was a girl, I was allowed to "go crazy!" But, we already have a ton of boy stuff so I would not need any boy clothes. Anyway, we knew we wanted white furniture in the baby's room if it is a girl. And I already had my eye on a cute bedding set.

We walked in to Babies R Us and I started to walk to the back where the bedding sets are. I turned to say something to Jared and he was not beside me. I looked around and I could not find him. We had only been in the store for about 30 seconds. Where did he go??? I searched for a minute. I found him holding two girl outfits. In one hand, he was holding the sweetest pink dress and in the other hand, he was holding a sleeper outfit that says, "I love Daddy!" It was so sweet.

We then walked to the back of the store together and we got all the bedding for the nursery. We are obsessed with it. It is called "Sugar Plum."

We also ordered the white furniture-crib, dresser, and changing table. It is going to be delivered for FREE in about a week! :)

Jayden's crib is a converter crib that changes from a crib to toddler bed then into a double bed. That's what we wanted to get for our little girl, too!!!

This is what the furniture looks like:

On Wednesday, I had a special delivery at work. Jared and Jayden had flowers and a balloon delivered to my school. It was such a sweet surprise!!!

The note said, "Jayden and I couldn't be happier that we are going to welcome a baby girl into our family. We both love you soooo much and we are so excited. Love, Jayden and Daddy" awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Stacy got us the cutest onesies!!!

I picked up two little dresses at Target...

And Jared's mom picked up this adorable pink dress with these CUTE pink shoes!!!

We are so happy and excited. Jayden is going to be the best big brother to his little sister. We have her name picked out. We chose the name that we have loved for a long time......

Isabella Claire Barsanti

We love her name. :)

My parents came up yesterday to paint Isabella's room. Now it will be painted and ready to go when the furniture is delivered.

Here are a whole bunch of pictures of the painting process............ Jayden loves his PopPop- especially when he let him help paint!!! SO cute!

*Don't worry, we did not paint over the pretty princesses! We just painted the other three walls. Purple and green. It will look great with the white furniture and purple, green, and pink bedding.

Here's the room now that it is finished being painted! We still have a lot of work to do, but we have plenty of time. :)

Jayden is a little stinker who climbs up the ladder faster than I can count to three. haha Don't worry, I was watching him!!!

More to come!!!!!!! :)

almost halfway there!

19 weeks... tomorrow is the big appointment. I can't wait to see the baby on the ultrasound and see that everything is growing the way it is supposed to be. We will also be able to find out if Jayden will have a little brother or sister.

So what do you think...... boy or girl??????????

Here is the growing belly!

St. Patrick's Day 2011!

Here is Jayden one year ago on his very first St. Patrick's Day. He was 7 months old...

And here he is now... one year later on his second St. Patrick's Day!

We got a call from daycare on this day that Jayden threw up twice. Jared picked him up and as they were walking out, Jayden threw up a third time. This was his first experience throwing up. He never ran a fever or anything, but had a short little tummy bug.... we're glad he's better!

The Little Gym

A few weeks ago, one of my friends at work was telling me about a place called The Little Gym. They have classes for kids and focus on different skills each week. It was something that I wanted to look into for Jayden.

Jared took him up there on Wednesday when he was off work. He talked to the lady and she said we could come to an intro. class on Saturday morning to see if we liked it. We took Jayden... he loved it!!!

Here are some pictures from his first class:

After that class, we decided to sign up! He has class every Saturday through June. Since that first class, we have been to two more and have had a blast each time. It is a lot of fun for Jayden to run around and play with other kids. The teacher there is awesome and teaches them sign language, as well as different skills each week. Jayden has learned to do a forward roll and backward roll (with help), they use hula hoops and balls and frisbees, and all kinds of things to pratice motor skills. We also like it because it is something for us to do as a family every week together. It is our special time with Jayden. :)

The class starts off sitting in a circle and we sing songs and they sing every child's name. Then we learn a new sign language sign. We have learned run and swing so far. Then, we do warm ups by running, walking, galloping in a big circle. Then we do something as a whole group- parachute or blow up jumpee thing, then there is music and time to explore stopping throughout to learn and practice new skills like rolling, balancing, etc. After that, it is BUBBLE time!! The kids love the bubbles and have so much fun with this part. After bubbles, we sit in a circle again to sing the goodbye song. It is so cute and fun!!!!

18 weeks Pregnant, Jayden, Mickey Mouse, and Such!

I always think about blogging, but I just never feel like taking the time to sit down and do it! I really want to post about all the fun and exciting things going on in our lives. But, I have been so busy...and if I ever get time to relax, I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing! I am going to try to make a blog post today. It is daylight savings and we lost an hour. Jared was kind enough to let me sleep in this morning for a little bit since I stayed up way too late last night. I was in a cleaning mood and just couldn't stop! haha

I am 18 weeks pregnant and in ONE week we find out if we are having a boy or girl! We will be so happy either way. I feel like everyone thinks it is going to be a girl, but this week I had four different people ask me if I was having a boy because of the way I am carrying! I am sure it is a boy! It will be great for Jayden to have a brother. I will also be very happy if it's a girl because I know exactly what I want to do with that princess room we have! :) ONE.MORE.WEEK! I do not know how in the world people go without finding out. I need to know. asap! :)

The pregnancy is coming along.... it is not easy like it was with Jayden. I still get sick almost every day. Usually, I just throw up in the mornings and then the rest of the day is fine. I have to take my nausea medicine every morning. I tried not taking it for 2 days, but was throwing up too much! So for now, I take it!

Jayden has been doing very well. He is talking a lot. He says somewhere around 30 words: daddy, mommy, doggie, duck, car, cracker, bubbles, cookie, shoes, bath, Stacy, Norm, Nana, PopPop, chocolate, Mickey- (KICKEY), Manny, ew, yucky, ball, paci, book, baby, cup, brush, blankie, hi, bye bye, no, stuck, wow...... He says more and please in sign language (daycare teaches sign language)

He runs all over the place and loves to play outside. He says "Sowside" and points to the door to go out and play. He is obsessed with bubbles. He has way too many toys and is so much fun to play with. He loves to do puzzles and he loves to read books! He loves to scribble with crayons, build towers with blocks and knock them over, and he always wants his hand traced on his magna doodle. He is learning how to jump and is getting pretty good at getting off ground! He no longer takes a paci at daycare for naps. He only takes it at home- usually just to sleep, but sometimes mommy gives and and lets him have it when he wants it! Jayden loves to dance and climbs on everything. He is wild.

At his 18 month check up, he was 33" tall(75%) and weighed 25 pounds (40%).

We have a potty chair out and he loves to sit on the potty. He doesn't pee or poop on it, but he sits on it and knows what it is. We are not pushing any potty training now at all, just getting him used to it!

Jayden L.O.V.E.S. Mickey Mouse. I seriously feel like that is the only TV we watch anymore. He points and claps when he sees Mickey. Then he sways from side to side while Mickey says the magic words to make the clubhouse appear, then he dances to the theme song. At the end of the show, he climbs on to the ottoman and dances to the HOT DOG DANCE! We finally ordered him a Mickey stuffed animal from the Disney Store. Now he has Mickey to carry around and dance with and sleep with.

Here he is before bed one night watching one last episode of Mickey Mouse.

Last weekend, we even got him a special chair to sit in while he reads or watches Mickey. He loves his Mickey chair!!!!

This is one of my favorite pictures!
