Say Cheese!

Thought these pictures were cute of Freddo. :)

weekend... TV in bed until NOON!!??!!

This is going to be a busy week. I have something every afternoon this week (after school) to do. Then Friday is field day! I can't believe this school year is almost over!!! :)

Jared was off this weekend and we did not have any plans. We had a great weekend relaxing and watching TV/movies together. Yesterday we stayed in bed watching TV until noon!!! I can't even remember the last time we did that. We did not leave our apartment to go ANYWHERE all day yesterday. Today was pretty much the same thing, but we were more productive. We cleaned our apartment really good, did a LOT of laundry, and took Fred on a long walk. I spent several hours working on school "stuff" and Jared spent some time outside washing both our cars! We did get out for a few minutes to run up to get an ice cream at Dairy Queen! :)

Sue Sue let me borrow some of her maternity clothes that she used when she was pregnant. I tried them on a while ago, but most of them were too big at the time I had tried them on before. Now that my belly is huge, I decided to try a couple of the shirts on again. I found my new favorite shirt to wear. Thank you, Sue Sue!!!!

Have a great week everyone! Happy JUNE!!!

Happy Birthday, Norm! Hope you have a great Birthday on Tuesday!!!! :) xoxo

28 week appointment

Today I went to the doctor for my 28 week apointment. I had to drink "the drink" and get blood drawn for my glucose screening test. I do not know the results yet, but hopefully I will pass the first time so I don't have to go back and do the 3 hour glucose test.

The actual doctor part of the visit went well. I was happy my blood pressure was good (I was nervous it would be high because of all the stress at school lately). I was a little shocked when I stepped on the scale this time. I am going to slow down on the fast food! haha Everyone tells me it's fine and that I will lose the weight once the baby comes. Doctor measured my belly and said I measured right on track and everything seems to be going just fine. The heartbeat sounded good, too! :)

The nurse sat my chair all the way up so I could lean back and not have to hold myself up! Stacy took pictures of me because apparently it looked really funny the way I was sitting...

Jared had to work so Stacy came along with me. She went to cheer me on while I drank the glucola drink! Thank you, Stacy, for going with me!!! :)

I can't believe we're 28 weeks preggo! It is so exciting! Oh, and last night we got the 7 month picture. Yes, the M&M pajamas fit... barely. I had to change right after the picture!

There was a thunderstorm and if you know Fred he freaks out when he hears thunder. So... he followed me into the bathroom and was hiding behind me! haha He just wanted to be part of the 7 month documentation!

Retirement Party, Pennsylvania, and Nursery!

I am getting so excited for summer. But the end of the year at school does not get any easier. There is SO MUCH end of the year stuff to do at school. SOOOO MUCH!!! Last week, we took a break from school work and I had the other second grade teachers over for a little retirement party for one of the teachers who is retiring. It was a fun time!

On Saturday, I went with my parents to Pennsylvania for the day to visit my grandma, Mom Mom. Mom Mom is almost 91 years old. It was good to visit with her. On the way home, we stopped and got hoagies!! YUMMM! Here are some pictures of us with Mom Mom.

Oh, we also had to pick up Phillies shirts! Stacy and I got matching ones!

Stacy and Millie :)

So this morning we took a trip to Babies R Us. Several months ago when we ordered our crib and furniture, we also ordered the toddler rails and bed rails. The crib converts from a crib to a toddler bed, day bed, then full size bed. We obviously won't need the bed rails for a while, but we got them now in case they don't make our crib down the road. Anyways, we went to pick them up today and of course had to shop for Jayden! I ended up buying the matching lamp and mobile that match Jayden's bedding set! I couldn't wait any longer! haha

Stacy and Fred on the way here!

Jared had to go to work tonight, but Stacy is with me and she so kindly helped me set up the new nursery items!!! I love them. The nursery is pretty much all ready... all we need now is Jayden to get here! couple more months... :)

A couple weeks ago, we got this cool toy shelf with colored bins to keep some toys in.

Jayden's toys and books:

the lamp... so cute!!!

the rocking recliner is so comfortable!!!

The musical mobile is so cute!!! Good job setting it up, Stacy!

I will update more soon. I go to the doctor on Wednesday for my 28 week apointment. I am supposed to go every 4 weeks, but the way the weeks worked out it will have been 6 weeks when I go on Wednesday since my last appointment. I'm sure I will update on that appointment. Also, I need to take my 7 month picture tonight! Hopefully the M&M pajamas will fit!!!! Keep your fingers crossed! :)

Fun Land, Phillies Game, and Zoo

We've been busy this weekend! On Friday night, Stacy came to visit and the three of us had fun at Fun Land! Fun Land is a place in Fredericksburg that has all kinds of things for kids (and us) to do... it has bumper cars and bumper boats, batting cages, mini-golf, a huge arcade, etc. We went for the mini golf!

After playing golf, we went to the arcade and played some games.

Saturday, we headed to D.C. for the Nationals/Phillies game!!! We met Norm and Greg at the game. It was so much fun!

Here's me and Stacy on the Metro... I look HUGE in this picture! ha

Of course Jared wore his Rays jersey!

After the game, Jared and I stayed in D.C. and walked a LOT! We went to the zoo, but we did not get to see all of it because it started thundering! We wanted to get back to the Metro Station before the rain. We made it JUST in time! As soon as we got to the Metro station, it started POURING rain! Perfect timing!

What a fun, busy weekend! I am exhausted now from all the walking around!!! Today has been a lazy Sunday, but I am getting ready to write lesson plans for school this week. Only a few more weeks of school... then it is SUMMER time!!!!! :) woohoo!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!! Love you! xoxo

xoxo Thanks for being the best mom in the world!!! :)

Baby Shower!

On Thursday, May 7, I had my first baby shower! It was at school with all my friends from work. There are four of us preggo so they had a big joint shower for us! It was so much fun! I am so lucky to work with such a wonderful group of people!

Of the four of us, I am the last one in line and we are all due within two months of each other. Dara, another second grade teacher that I team teach with, is due June 14. She is having a surprise, but we THINK it is a girl! Sara, the ESOL teacher, is due July 25 and she is having a boy. Kim, the music teacher, is due July 4 and she is having a girl. Then there's me, due August 18, with a boy!

Here's a picture of the four of us in our "throne" chairs :)

Whenever we have parties or meetings, etc. at school they usually take place in the library. So that is where we had our baby shower. It is in the library of RVES. :)

It smelled like a florist in there because of all the pretty fresh flower arrangements! (and check out those fancy chocolate covered potato chips!)

Mom/Nana came to celebrate with us!

We played a game with "clickers"... it was a trivia game about the four of us...

CAKE! (such a good cake-- my favorite chocolate cake with a lot of icing!!!)

boy, was the cake delicious! (we still have some left over!)

one of the third grade teachers is making Jayden a quilt!

Jayden got a lot of toys and rattles!

how cute... little bibs!

look ath all these gifts... we are so lucky!

I can't believe how perfect everything was. The hospitality team did such a great job putting this shower together. I did not get pictures of the prediction charts or favors, but they thought of everything! Every detail was really nice. Jayden is so lucky to have gotten so many nice gifts- toys, clothes, towels, and lots of other things!!! And we got very generous gift cards to Target, which we are very thankful for. We have started a diaper fund of gift cards! :) Thank you everyone!
