37 week appointment

Today I had my 37 week appointment. The past few times I have gone, I have had to wait sooo long (like almost 2 hours!!!) so I went in today anticipating having to wait forever. We sat down in the waiting room and not even 5 minutes later, I was called back! yay! It was so NICE not having to wait! It works out perfectly that Jared has off work every Wednesday and all of my appointments are on Wednesdays. So he went with me!

There was good news and not-so-good news. The not-so-good news is that there was blood in my urine. I have not had any bleeding or anything, but at every appointment you have to pee in a cup and they check it. This may indicate another bladder infection, or, another kidney infection or kidney stone. When I was about 30-31 weeks pregnant, I had a kidney stone and was in the hospital for almost 4 days. My Dr. did not put me on an antibiotic yet-- they are doing a further urine culture and she is going to call me when they get the results. If it shows an infection then I will have to take an antibiotic. She also said if they find traces of blood in my urine after Jayden is born then I may need to see a urologist.

The good news is my blood pressure was still great, my ankels are not swollen, and I am starting to make some progress! I am one centimeter dilated and over 50% efaced. She emphasized the OVER. haha Obviously, this does not mean all that much, but it is exciting that things are happening! :) His head is still down. Now I am excited for next week to see if anything else changes. I keep saying I hope he comes 1 week early, but even if he doesn't it won't be more than 3 weeks!!! so crazy!!! And so exciting!!!

Tonight was our last class. It was a breastfeeding class and it was really good. It was for mothers and also the fathers.

That's about all for now as far as pregnancy updates. I have a dentist appointment on Friday morning then I get to spend the weekend visitng family from Texas. We can't wait to play lots of games.... AND MEET BABY JACOB!!!!! :) I will post about that later because I am sure I will have plenty of pictures!

classroom update

I have been stressing out so much about getting my classroom set up for the school year. I have a wonderful long-term sub coming in for me the first few weeks of school, but before I meet with her to go over things I wanted my room to at least be set up. My mom and Stacy came one day last week and they were a HUGE help. They got all the furniture moved where I wanted it. Then they hung everything up for me so I would not have to stand on a step stool or reach up high! I couldn't believe how much we got done in not even a full days work!

Since that day, I have spent a couple more days at school getting more things ready and finally, it is ALMOST done! I still have several boxes, but they are boxes FULL of RANDOM papers that just need to be filed in the file cabinet. I want to spend some time getting all my papers organized, BUT if something happens and I can't get to that it is okay. All that really matters is that my room is set up and presentable to kids and parents.

Whenever Jayden comes I have 6 weeks with him before I go to work. (unless I have to have a c-section then I get 8 weeks) Anyways, the teachers go back to work on Monday, Aug. 17 and that is our "teacher work week" before the kids come the following week, Monday, Aug. 24. I am planning to work if Jayden has not come yet, but who knows what is going to happen. Here's the issue.... I have a WONDERFUL sub, but she is unable to come during the work week. Her first day is going to be the kids first day, too. That means, my room has to be ready AND I have to meet with her to go over everything BEFORE the first day of school... actually, before the work week since she will be out of town that week. Hopefully, I will be able to at least make it to "Open House" which is the Friday before school starts so I can meet my kids and parents, etc.

I have REALLY been stressing about all of this soooo much. I needed to get my room ready ASAP so I could relieve some of this stress!!! I had to wait until the floors were waxed, carpet cleaned, and this year, they even painted the insides of our classrooms with fresh paint! So literally, EVERY single thing had to be done.

I have put up some pictures of what it looks like....... like I said, there is still plenty to do, but at least it is coming together!

Welcome to 2nd grade... room 22... my classroom!!!

SMART board!!!!! yay!

36 week appt. and Jared's Good News!!!

Yesterday was a big day for us! Jared has been getting prepared for some important interviews for the past couple months. He was up for a promotion with Target. Basically it is the same position and everything- just more money. They only sent a certain amount of people to these interviews and yesterday was the big day! He was so nervous even though we all knew he would do a great job. Sure enough, he found out yesterday afternoon that he did great and he got the promotion!! YAY, Jared!!! We are all so excited for him. :)

Also yesterday was my 36 week appointment. I told Stacy whenever she is pregnant I will go with her to her appointments because she always comes with me! :) We weren't sure if Jared would make it there or not because he was coming from his interviews.... but he ended up able to makeit because we had to wait in the waiting room FOREVERRRRRR........ Anyways, my appointment went well. I am not dialated yet, but she said my cervix is definitely getting softer! haha She also said his head is down. When she measured my belly, she said I'm measuring right on track for this time and he's about 6- 6 1/2 pounds. :)

Yesterday was a great day all around. Shout out to Debbie and Badi because yesterday was their 3 year Anniversary!!!!!!! :)

Monday was my mom's Birthday and I never blogged about it. I hope you had a great birthday, mom. I love you so much!!! Jared's mom's birthday was Sunday! Happy Birthday to you, too!

Today is my cousin Zander's birthday. I can't believe you are 8 years old, Zander!!!! Happy Happy Birthday!!!! :)

We Beat Mario!!!!

Stacy and I spent our day playing Super Mario Bros 3. We got frustrated after several attempts at playing the very last level, so, we took a break and went to the pool. Then we came back and after showers we continued. Stacy had to end her life after being left behind. I finally beat Bowser!!!! It was awesome!

Baby Shower- July 12, 2009

Yesterday was a special Sunday. My mom and Stacy planned a wonderful baby shower for me and baby Jayden. Everything was perfect. They really thought of everything. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a nice day. Mom and Stacy planned it all out, Jared's mom did an awesome job with decorations, my aunts and cousins came and helped set up and clean up-- and each helped with food which was really yummy! The whole afternoon was a lot of fun. I have a ton of pictures so I have put them all in a slideshow in the previous post.

I am 35 weeks pregnant (will be on Tuesday) and I am huge. Jared thinks Jayden is going to be a butterball. haha

These were taken before we left for the clubhouse.

Here is mom with her girls...

me and mom

The shower was at Walton Park clubhouse. It looked so nice all decorated for a baby shower!!!

This table was when you first walked in. It had a time capsule for Jayden where people each contributed something for Jayden to open when he is older that pertains to the year 2009. I can't believe how creative everyone was... Jayden is going to LOVE that when he is older!!!! One of my mom's friends embroidered a special onesie and burp cloth for Jayden. We put them on the table to show them to everyone because they are so sweet. The burp cloth has his name on it and the onesie has his monogram. Also on the table was a book for people to write thoughts/advice/predictions about Jayden! Then there was a baby bottle full of m&ms and people had to guess how many were in the bottle! Finally, there was a picture of my mom bringing me home from the hospital when I was born and Jared's mom bringing him home from the hospital when he was born. How cute!!!

The cake table was so cute! My mom and Stacy made a DIAPER CAKE and it was awesome!!! I love it!!! There was an edible cake, too. My favorite- chocolate cake with white buttercream icing! FROM UKROPS!!! :) We also made homemade chocolate chip cookies with blue m&ms. The desserts were delicious!!!

Wow! Jared and I are so thankful to have such great family and friends. Jayden is a lucky baby. He is not even here yet and he has so many people who love him and spoil him. It is amazing how many things out there for babies. We got VERY nice gifts and really really really appreciate everyone's kindness and generosity.

The gift table...

Again, we are so grateful for all these nice baby gifts...

The tables looked very nice... Jared's mom did a great job decorating. She brought all the tablecloths, lots of cute baby things to decorate the tables, balloons, and she made cute little blue boxes that were filled with sweet tarts in the shapes of baby items, baby boy mints, and hershey kisses for favors.

My mom made Hershey bar favors... just like at our wedding! :)

They looked so cute, mom!

My mom seriously should be a professional party planner! She thought of everything-- she even spent hours tying on little baby decoations with a ribbon onto every single PEN for people to write with for the games.

Jared's mom is very creative! She made a DIAPER WREATH and it is adorable! It made such a nice decoration. And, it had all kinds of little toys and rattles for Jayden to have. SO SWEET...

We always wonder if Jayden will have any hair. I have not had heartburn so I think he is going to be bald! My mom put together this poster with a baby picture of me and Jared on it... what do you know? ... we both don't have any hair!!! :)

Jared's mom, again, she is very creative, thought of the idea to hang up the outfits Jared and I came home from the hospital in when we were born! They were cute!

Jared's mom also made this really cute centerpiece to put on the counter by the food. It looked neat and it had Jayden's name on it!!!

My mom planned out some really FUN games for the baby shower. One of them was for everyone to cut a string of ribbon to the lenght they thought would fit sround my belly. Whoever was the closest won a prize! Most people guessed way too big! It was funny!!!

Stacy won!!! :)

Another game was a candy bar game and everyone had to match the candy bar name to a clue. Example: girl's name= Baby Ruth, night of conception= Score hahaha

Caitlin won!!! :)

Here are some pictures of guests........

It was so good to see my friend Dana! We have been friends since 5th grade!!!

Jared's mom made Jayden this adorable quilt! I love it!!!

My dad's sister, Sue, who lives in Pennsylvania, made Jayden two beautiful blankets!!! They are so so nice!!! :)

At the end of the shower, Jared came to say hi to the girls he has not seen in a while. He was so happy to see this gift (from his mom)

... a fishing pole and tackle box!!! They are Cars.... sooo cute! Jared has been asking me since I found out I was pregnant when he can take Jayden fishing! hahaha

I feel like I have put way too many pictures in this blog post, but the shower was just so nice I wanted to share every detail! I am sure I left out a lot, but my eyes can't look at the computer screen any longer!!! The baby shower was perfect and thank you to everyone who helped and attended! :)

The rest of the pictures are in the slideshow below.............. :)
