I only caught the end of it on camera as the laugh was winding down, but Jayden was really laughing tonight with Jared. Jayden is very ticklish on his neck and Jared was making him laugh for about 5 minutes before I came in to catch it on camera. It was so funny to watch them!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! We had a great one (besides fighting being sick)... We have so much to be thankful for! Thanks, Whitfield family, for having us to your house on Thanksgiving Day! We missed those of you who weren't with us this year!

Rolling Over!!!

Jayden does tummy time every day at Daycare. On Monday (13 weeks), his teachers told me that he ROLLED OVER for the first time. I was so happy, but also sad that this happened at daycare instead of at home with me!!! They said they thought it may have just been a fluke thing the first time it happened, but then he did it again, and again! I had to see this for myself! However, we really have not had him on his tummy too much since we went to Richmond for Thanksgiving. We came home today because Jared had to go to work and I decided tonight I was going to see if Jayden could really roll over. I wanted to be video taping it in case he did it so Jared could see it, too! Sure enough, he did it!! I was so proud of him!!! I was also happy that I caught this on our video camera! So after catching it on the video camera, I thought I would try to catch it on my regular camera that takes video clips so I could post it on my blog. This is what happened...........



Jayden really does not spit up too much... he never really has... but every once in a while, he spits up a lot!!! haha as you saw in that video!

Jayden is a THUMB SUCKER! If he does not have his paci, you will see Jayden either sucking his thumb or trying to shove his fist(s) into his mouth...


Ok this is funny... Whenever we take car trips to/from Richmond Fred sits in the back seat with Jayden. He likes to sleep with his head right by the baby's carseat. It is so funny. As we drove back today, we tried to get a picture of it. You can see Fred sleeping and you can even see the sleeping baby in the car mirror!!!

I was in the kitchen washing dishes, but I kept hearing Jared's voice from the nursery. He was in there with Jayden reading to him. I had to catch it on video because it was so cute. This is what I saw... (remember to pause the music at the bottom of my blog page!)



Jared calls this the "Stimulation Zone." He puts Jayden on the play gym, has music playing, reads to him, has toys all around, and pretty much over stimulates the poor baby! :) It is really cute, though!

Stacy's 21st!

My baby sister is 21 years old!!!

On Nov. 21, Stacy turned the big 2-1. We went to El Ranchero for lunch and then went back to the house for games and cake. I still can't believe she is 21. It makes me feel old!

Jayden is THREE MONTHS old!!!

Last week, Jayden turned 3 months old! I am a few days late on posting, but here we go! Jayden is growing so much! :)


A lot has happened now that he is 13 weeks old!!!!!!!!!! Let's see...

Three months...
-smiles all the time... It is so cute!
-falls alseep every time (almost every time) he gets in the car seat- fusses when we have to stop at red lights... likes the motion of the car MOVING!
-started daycare at 9 weeks- has 3 nice teachers!
-at 9 weeks, started sleeping through the night... most nights would take his last 5 oz. bottle at about 6:30 pm, fall asleep by 8 pm and wake up to eat again at 2:30 am, go right back to sleep and wake up around 6:30 am. **side note- now Jayden goes to sleep around 9:30 pm and wakes up around 5:30 or 6:00 am!!!!!!!!!** yay!!
-tummy time every day
-started Mylicon gas drops at 10 weeks to help with gas... only had to use for a couple weeks- now you are doing MUCH better with the colic
-discovered hands (10 weeks) loves to play with them and see how much of his hands he can fit into his mouth... both fists! haha spit goes everywhere!
-loves to lay on his back and kick his feet in the air while moving his hands all around
-L O V E S bathtime... and I mean he LOVES it!
-had first playdate with Scutter at 11 weeks
-still wearing size one diapers
-we call him "patch" because of the patch of hair he has on the back of his head-
-makes the cutest noises... now started squeeling!!!
-had first Halloween dressed as a pumpkin and a monkey
-got his first cold (probably from sitting at portrait innovations for 4 hours getting Christmas pictures made)
-LOVES his pacifier... uses paci to fall asleep
-favorite day of the week is Wednesday because he stays home with Daddy (every WED. jared is off work and has play day all day every Wednesday!)
-started reaching for his toys - we think he is going to be right handed

I can't believe Jayden is going to be 3 months old pretty soon! He is growing SO FAST! Jared had the weekend off and we have been busy! Yesterday, we took Jayden to Portrait Innovations to get our Christmas cards made! We got some of just Jayden and a family picture. They turned out really cute! I am not going to post the actual ones that we picked for our Christmas cards, but I will post some of the other ones! :)

I love the way our Christmas pictures turned out! :) The only bad thing was our appointment was at 2:50 and we waited until 4:00 just to take the pictures! Then we had to wait another hour just to LOOK and choose our pictures!!! By the time we finsihed it was after 6:00 pm. It made for a lonnnnng evening. I love portrait innovations, but we could have done without the wait!

Now for a busy Sunday.... so much to do!

One more thing---I can't believe next weekend my baby sister is going to be 21 years old!!! I am going to take Jayden to visit his Aunt Stacy and give her 21 kisses and hugs!!!

We have so much fun playing with Jayden. He is such a happy baby! Here is a video of him from a few minutes ago playing with us. You can hear and see his personality... he is very vocal! haha

monday monday

Things have been so busy lately. I hate how it is dark when I get home from work. By the time we get home, shower, bathe Jayden, make/eat dinner, wash bottles, make bottles, clean the dishes from dinner, take Fred out, it's time for bed! Crazy! Then I wake up at 5 am all to start the process again! Jared and I hardly see each other! We decided that this weekend coming up we don't want to make any plans. We just want to relax, catch up on the cleaning and laundry and watch movies. We will see if that actually happens. :)

I love giving Jayden baths because he LOVES getting in the tub! He has been very "vocal" and makes the sweetest noises all the time! He LOVES his hands and stares at them... and puts his hands in his mouth. I think if his whole hand would fit in his mouth, he would do it! (it pretty much does!)

First Playdate with Scutter

On Saturday, my school had a fall festival. My friend Dara and I worked at it and my mom watched our babies! So, Jayden had his first playdate. It was so cute seeing the two of them together. Scutter and Jayden are BFFs! :)

Thank you, mom, for babysitting!!! Jayden loves his Nana!!!











We hope to have another playdate again soon!!! :)

First Trip to a Factory...

Stacy and her boyfriend Miguel came to Fredericksburg to have dinner with us on Friday night. After dinner, we went to Krispy Kreme and got doughnuts!

Jayden was asleep, but we made sure to get his picture in front of the doughnuts! Yeah, people were there laughing while I was taking these pictures!
