On Monday, March 21, I had my 20 week ultrasound/ doctor's appointment. I was really looking forward to this day because I have not seen the little peanut since about 5 weeks! We were very anxious to see that the baby is growing and is healthy. My appointment was at 10:30 and, of course, we had to wait a little while. Finally, it was time for the ultrasound. The technician was very nice and told us about all the parts she was looking at. We saw the heart beating (142 bpm), the chambers of the heart, feet, hands, spine, face, organs, etc. and it was so awesome. The baby was moving around, too! Throughout the ultrasound, the technician said "he" a few times. I even thought I saw a little boy part, too. With the Barsanti boy history, we thought for sure it was going to be a boy.
After looking at all the parts she was supposed to, the technician told us we could find out the sex. We asked her if she had seen it yet and she said she had not. Then, she said, "You aren't going to believe this... You are having a GIRL!" Jared let out a shout of joy and I asked a few times if she was sure. She has been doing this for over 20 years and only been wrong once. haha
WE ARE HAVING A GIRL! OH.MY.GOSH. We certainly would have been super happy if it was a boy, but we are thrilled to be having a little girl!!! Now Jayden is going to have a little sister to take care of! :)
I do not have a scanner, so I took pictures of the ultrasound pictures. They are not that clear, but you will get the idea. Here are pictures of our sweet baby girl!!!
Here is her profile:

It's a GIRL!:
The technician flipped over to 4D for us. WOW. That was neat! She has her arm up against her little face! :)

After the appointment, Jared and I went out to lunch to celebrate before heading to Babies R Us to do some shopping! Lunch was great and I think we both said "I can't believe it's a girl" about a million times.
We knew exactly what we wanted to do after the appointment. SHOP. Jared told me if it was a girl, I was allowed to "go crazy!" But, we already have a ton of boy stuff so I would not need any boy clothes. Anyway, we knew we wanted white furniture in the baby's room if it is a girl. And I already had my eye on a cute bedding set.
We walked in to Babies R Us and I started to walk to the back where the bedding sets are. I turned to say something to Jared and he was not beside me. I looked around and I could not find him. We had only been in the store for about 30 seconds. Where did he go??? I searched for a minute. I found him holding two girl outfits. In one hand, he was holding the sweetest pink dress and in the other hand, he was holding a sleeper outfit that says, "I love Daddy!" It was so sweet.
We then walked to the back of the store together and we got all the bedding for the nursery. We are obsessed with it. It is called "Sugar Plum."

We also ordered the white furniture-crib, dresser, and changing table. It is going to be delivered for FREE in about a week! :)
Jayden's crib is a converter crib that changes from a crib to toddler bed then into a double bed. That's what we wanted to get for our little girl, too!!!
This is what the furniture looks like:

On Wednesday, I had a special delivery at work. Jared and Jayden had flowers and a balloon delivered to my school. It was such a sweet surprise!!!
The note said, "Jayden and I couldn't be happier that we are going to welcome a baby girl into our family. We both love you soooo much and we are so excited. Love, Jayden and Daddy" awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Stacy got us the cutest onesies!!!
I picked up two little dresses at Target...
And Jared's mom picked up this adorable pink dress with these CUTE pink shoes!!!
We are so happy and excited. Jayden is going to be the best big brother to his little sister. We have her name picked out. We chose the name that we have loved for a long time......
Isabella Claire Barsanti
We love her name. :)
My parents came up yesterday to paint Isabella's room. Now it will be painted and ready to go when the furniture is delivered.
Here are a whole bunch of pictures of the painting process............ Jayden loves his PopPop- especially when he let him help paint!!! SO cute!
*Don't worry, we did not paint over the pretty princesses! We just painted the other three walls. Purple and green. It will look great with the white furniture and purple, green, and pink bedding.
Here's the room now that it is finished being painted! We still have a lot of work to do, but we have plenty of time. :)
Jayden is a little stinker who climbs up the ladder faster than I can count to three. haha Don't worry, I was watching him!!!
More to come!!!!!!! :)

Isabella is so lucky to be coming into such a loving family and you all are so fortunate to be welcoming her into the world. Daddy and I are so excited to have a granddaughter! I can't wait to hold her in my arms.
The room is looking good! I love the paint colors. You have such an artistic style. (You need to send the photos to the old homeowners and show them you were able to incorporate the special mural into the nursery.) So glad we were able to participate in the preparations. Hope you prop you feet up today! Hugs and Kisses. Mom and Dad
