Norm and Kristen

Jared and I moved to Fredericksburg in June 2007. Jared had accepted a job with Target and that is why we moved here from Radford. We did not know anyone at all, but we were glad it was only an hour away from our family in Richmond. Soon after moving to Fredericksburg, I was offered a teaching position in Spotsy. Co. I was so excited and headed out to "new teacher orientation" in August. I met a couple girls there who happened to live in the same apartment complex as me. They were going to be high school teachers. As I was walking around the big room for orientation, I ran into Kristen. I said hi and asked her what school/grade she would be teaching. It turned out, she was going to be at the same school as me! She was going to be teaching kindergarten and I was going to be teaching second grade. We talked and exchanged phone numbers and became instant friends! :) We did all the new teacher stuff together, including the trolly ride around Fredericksburg!

Kristen and I have been good friends ever since. We used to hang out often at my old apartment. We were thrilled that the house Jared and I bought is only minutes down the street from Kristen. Now we see eachother all the time.

When I was pregnant with Jayden, Kristen was "the friend" at my work baby shower who wrote down all my gifts.

Look at her long hair!!! :)

When Jayden was just about one week old, Kristen came over to our apartment to meet him. We called her "Auntie Kristen" since we were such good friends. Here is the first picture of Jayden with his Auntie Kristen. so cute! :)

It was that very same day that my brother Norm came to Fredericksburg to see Jayden. (He had come to the hospital, but this was his first real visit with Jayden.) Norm and Kristen met that day in August 2009. I still remember Norm sending me a message on facebook telling me he and Kristen talked in the parking lot of my apartment complex for a while before they left and Norm thought she was so cool. I think he wanted me to set them up or something right then, but I did not even think anything of it at all! haha Here is Jayden with his Uncle Norm. :)

Kristen and I continued to be great friends. For Jayden's first birthday party, Kristen came over to help me make and decorate Jayden's Sesame Street Cake and Elmo Cupcakes. We had a blast doing this party together! :)

It was at Jayden's first birthday party when Kristen and Norm hung out again...a year later! They played ladder ball outside together. I remember my family saying how cute they looked together!

As time went on, Kristen and I remained such good friends. She came to my house for my family Christmas party in December 2010. She had gotten to know our whole family!

Here is a picture from the Christmas Cookie Exchange :)

I guess it was that party that Kristen and Norm really hit it off. Because shortly after that party, they started dating! I don't know exactly how it started, but they have been going strong for about 6 months now! :)

Here they are at Kristen's "Golden Globes Party!" (which was so much fun, by the way!)

They have been to Phillies games together!

Kristen and Stacy :)

Here is a picture of Kristen and I at my work baby shower for Isabella in June 2011.

Kristen and my mom hosted a sprinkle for me and Isabella on June 26, 2011. It was held at Kristen's house. It was so much fun!

A couple weeks ago, July 2-9, our family spent a week at the beach for our summer vacation. Kristen joined us this year. It was great! Here is a picture of Norm and Kristen at the beach. :)

Now we have made it to Jayden's 2nd Birthday party. This time, the party was at Nana and Pop Pop's house. Norm and Kristen are still going strong! I love these pictures of them from the party. They are playing cornhole outside. Aren't they cute?????

awww :)

Norm gave Kristen a lot of Mickey Mouse tattoos at the party :)

Jayden and Kristen

Will Auntie Kristen become Jayden's REAL Auntie Kristen? Only time will tell! :)
