I went back to work on Thursday, October 1. It was very nice going to work 1. knowing my baby was at home with Daddy and 2. knowing I only had Thursday and Friday then it was the weekend! I was welcomed by my 17 second grade students (yes- only 17!!!!) and all of the nice staff and parents at my school. Everyone was extremely good to me and really made me feel good to be back! Of course I missed Jayden and thought about him ALL day! But, I survived and I actually have a great group of kids this year! :) When I came home from school, I was greeted outside by this adorable face...........
Jared had a great day with Jayden. And he did a pretty good job dressing him in this adorable outfit!!!! :)
The weekend was nice, but I did have school work to do. I feel very stressed and overwhelmed coming back. I know I will catch up, but it is very difficult! Anyways, I was glad to have Super Nana come on Sunday night. My mom (Nana) was nice enough to take the whole week off work so she could help me out and watch Jayden all week. It was my first full week back to work and Jared had to go out of town for his work. Super Nana was amazing. I call her Super Nana because that is what she was--SUPER! And you know that show, Supernanny?!? haha :)
I can't even explain how helpful she was to us. Let's see... she took Jayden every night so I could sleep, she made and washed all the bottles and breast pump pieces all week, she made dinners every night for us, she packed my lunch for work every day, she cleaned our apartment, sewed the hole in my comforter, graded a TON of papers for me, tore out about 100 pages of second grade workbooks for me and sorted them, took care of Jayden all day and evening so I could work late and TRY to catch up, and she somehow even found time to make a "Welcome Home Daddy" sign for Jared to hang on the door for when he came home, make a birthday card for me from Jayden, bake me a birthday cake, was and fold my laundry and Jayden's laundry, and oh my gosh, the list could go on and on!!!!!!! I know she was exhausted, but she enjoyed spending time with her grandson! :) I am sooo mad that we didn't take any pictures! Oh well... Thank you so so so much, Mom! AKA Super Nana! You are the best Mom and Nana and we love you so much!!!!!!!!
We were sad to see Nana leave, but Jared came home from his business trip in Philly and it was the weekend! yay! Yesterday, after Jared got off work, we celebrated my birthday. I told Jared that for my bday I just wanted to spend time with my family and we decided to go to Belvedere Plantation. It was so much fun. Jayden really likes to be outside, but we have to time it just right. He has to have been fed, have pooped, and be calm before we leave our apartment and then he is usually fine.
We left around 5:30 pm and made it to Belevdere Plantation around 6 pm. It was perfect because we did the pumpkin patch first. It was Jayden's first visit to the pumpkin patch!!!!!!! He took his first hayride and then experienced the pumpkin patch! The hayride back was awesome because the sun was starting to set. It was such a pretty sky. After the pumpkin patch we walked all around, sat by the bonfire, saw the animals, and ate good grilled burgers! :) Jayden was SOOOO GOOD and WIDE AWAKE the whole time!!! He did not fall asleep until right as we were leaving! On the way home, we stopped by Dairy Queen. I got my favorite m & m blizzard and Jared had a pumpkin pie blizzard! I had so much fun with my boys and I love October!!!!! :)

What a sweet post, Cindy. I had so much fun last week. Jayden was just a sweet little angel. (Now I know even angels have gas!!!) Jayden does love the outdoors. We had fun on our stroller walks around the apartment complex, so I wasn't surprised he loved the pumpkin patch.
Tha last photo is my favorite! What a doll!
