A few weeks ago, Jayden started Soccer Tots at Fredericksburg Field House. It is an 8 week program and he "plays" with a group of kids age 24-36 mos. old. He LOVES it! They start off each class by meeting in a circle and stretching.
Then they play the game "Red Light Green Light" with the coach. It is so adorable to watch the kids run across the field and then stop when the coach holds up the red light.
The class is one hour and they learn different skills like kicking, stopping, etc. They don't actually play real soccer games or anything. It has only been a couple weeks and Jayden is doing quite well with it. The first time he cried when it was time to leave because he wanted to keep playing soccer! haha
At the end of each class, the coach gives the kids stamps on their arms. The following picture is Jayden getting his very first set of stamps!
At the very end, the coach has all the kids put their hands in and they say, "Go Team!" soo cute! :)
We visited Strictly Soccer (the family owned soccer shop in Midlothian, VA where Jared worked in high school (actually I worked there too!)) Jayden got some new soccer gear and he loves to play soccer at home with us. I told Jared we will have to remember this picture when he is older in case he chooses to play soccer when he is older! :)
At the second class, the kids each got a T-shirt to wear to Soccer Tots. It is hard to see the shirt in this picture, but you can see his cool stamps! He was so funny and proud of his stamps!
I have a few videos of Jayden at soccer tots, but I have to post them in separate blog posts.... so check back for those soon!
