Since he was sick and wheezing at 4 months, he was unable to get his 4 month shots at that time. Now that he is better, he had his 4 month shots at 5 months! :) Everything went really well at the doctor's appointment. He is now 16 pounds 2 ounces (50%) and about 25 1/2 inches long. Dr. said he still did have some fluid in his ear, but it can take several weeks to go away. Dr. said he looks great! :)
Jared took him to this appointment because I was at work. Jared is such a good daddy! Oh, and here is a picture of Jayden's bandaids from the shots.
A lot has been happening this month. Jayden has such a sweet, LAID BACK, happy personality. He really doesn't cry much at all. (much different from his first couple months with the colic!)
Jayden.....
-is such a good sleeper... He is sleeping IN HIS CRIB! He started in the crib on Christmas Night 2009 (4 months) and has slept in it EVERY night since. We lay him down when he's sleepy, but awake, and he falls asleep on his own. He uses a paci and listens to the lullaby music projector that hangs on his crib. It plays sweet music and shines a light with moving stars, etc. on the ceiling. He watches that as he falls asleep(thanks Nana and Pop Pop for that cool thing!) He goes to bed around 9:30 pm and sleeps until around 7:00 am. :)
-eyes are turning darker
-started rice cereal at almost 5 months (21 weeks)
-still LOVES bathtime!!!!!
-plays in jumparoo!
-ticklish and laughs a lot
-puts everything he can in his mouth
-sticks his tongue out all the time!
-had allergy testing done (20 weeks)
-wearing size 2 diapers... getting ready to start size 2/3! we prefer Pampers! :)
-This month, we also learned that Jayden is allergic to penicillin. He was on amoxicillin for his ear infection a few weeks ago and he broke out in hives. Jared and I are both allergic to penicillin, too.
