Holiday Baking with Mom

This past weekend was BUSY! On Friday night, I went to my Holiday Staff Party at UNO Chicago Grille. It was really fun! :) After the party, really late Friday night, Jared and I drove to Richmond. On Saturday, I had lunch with Kendall! Then, Jared and I spent some time with his mom. Finally, it was time to start the holiday bake-off. My mom went through tons of recipe books and planned out various types of cookies for us to bake people for Christmas. We baked........ and baked........... and baked.............. and everything was homemade, of course!

Peanut Blossom Cookies

Almond Crescents

Candy Cane Crisps

Soft and Chewy Chocolate Bites with marshmallows

Soft and Chewy Chocolate Bites with caramel
We baked about.... 30 dozen I think... cookies.... enough for 22 plates!

The kitchen table was covered in plates pf cookies!!!!!!!

CLOSE-UPS....................

The finished products.

I don't think we will be baking anything else for a while. just kidding! It was fun! :)

That was a lot of fun, Cindy. Let's make it a Christmas tradition. Thank goodness there weren't too many duds that didn't make it on the plates and we had to eat!!!

Gosh that brought back memories! I remember your mom cooking the peanut blossoms when we were kids. I ate the duds, the rejects, the not so pretty ones, then started in on the perfect ones. Absolutely terrific !! Soon, you will have a little helper in the kichen. Either to help cook or to help eat the miscues. You both did a great job cooking. Looks pretty as a picture from a magazine.
