Christmas Dinner with Grammie

Miss Bella has been spending more and more time in her ExerSaucer! She is putting EVERYTHING in her mouth now! She drools everywhere, too! She is cute as can be and she is ready for her first Christmas!!!

Jared's mom has to work on Christmas day (she is a labor and delivery nurse) so we had her over last night for a Christmas dinner. I bought a small turkey that was freezer to oven, already in a bag, already seasoned, etc. and it was pretty good! Then, I made corn pudding, mashed potatoes, and crescent rolls. She made the broccoli salad. The food was yummy. I just love nice home cooked holiday meals. :)

Of course this is SUCH a busy time of year for retail stores...and Jared being a store manager of a Target AND in a new store all at the same time makes for a busy time! Jared had to work all day, but he did make it home for dinner and some quality time with the family. While we waited for Jared to get home, Jayden got to spend some fun time with his Grammie.

They put together and decorated a gingerbread train. How fun!

This is how the finished product turned out:

Good job, guys!!!

Grammie also brought some cute things for the kids. Jayden got this awesome Christmas apron to wear when he helps in the kitchen! It lights up and everything! :)

Jayden tried it on to model it for my blog! haha

and the back side:

Isabella got this cute thing to hang in her room that holds her bows. I did not waste any time and I got out all of the bows she already has and put them on this new bow holder!

As you can see, she already has quite a few bows!!! We just need some more hair so she can wear them! haha

Jared's mom gave us this pretty advent candle holder. I just need to go get some candles for it.

She also gave Jayden this Snoopy that moves and plays the bells! Jayden loves things that play music, move, light up, etc. He fits right in under our tree with all of the Hallmark Snowmen that move and play music. :)

I made a collage picture frame for Grammie of all the grandchildren. It turned out really cute and I am kicking myself now that I did not take a picture of it!!! :( oh well!

We had a fun day/night... Can't believe it is the week of CHRISTMAS!!!! :)

Random Thoughts...in no particular order

1. I can't even believe it is already December 15! That means it is almost Christmas! December is such a wonderful time of the year. I love everything about it. I especially love hearing from family and friends through Christmas cards. I find myself getting excited to check the mail every day hoping to find Christmas cards!

2. Jayden is such a smart boy! He is like a sponge learning so much each and every day. I have to brag on him...he knows his letters and almost all of his letter sounds! I am a proud mama!

3. I love Ellen. It is my dream to go to CA one day and go to an Ellen show. A lifelong dream.... I hope this dream comes true one day!!!

4. On December 23, Jared and I will be celebrating our five year anniversary. We have been together for THIRTEEN years! I am so lucky to be married to my best friend and feel more love for my husband every day. Even if we get on each other's nerves sometimes, we love each other so much!!! The five year tradition is wood. I got him a wooden picture frame that says, "Loved you yesterday, Love you still, Always have, Always will." It has four picture speces in it. I put a picture of us from way back when we were like 14 (haha), a picture of when we got engaged, a picture from our wedding day, and a picture of us now! I also got him Kenneth Cole Black cologne...which is the same present I gave him for a wedding present. It smells so good! I am looking forward to spending time together to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary.

5. Isabella is sleeping right beside me on the couch right now. I love watching her sleep....she is so pretty and peaceful. She's wrapped in her little Christmas blankie and she's got her paci in her mouth. She is so innocent and content. Melts my heart!!!

6. Fred (our dog) turned 10 this week. Tuesday was his birthday! How many doggie years is that?!?!

7. My sister Stacy graduated from college last Saturday! It is hard to believe she is a college graduate!!! We are all so proud of her. It is amazing that my parents put three kids through college...I hope they know how much we appreciate that! Not only did they pay for our tuition, they paid for all of our living expenses and some spending money so we did not have to have full-time jobs while we were taking classes. Thanks, mom and dad! And CONGRATULATIONS to Stacy!!!!

8. We have too many toys in our house. It is kinda out of control ridiculous. Gotta love Target clearance!

9. Isabella sat in her bumbo chair the other day and she now started playing in her Exersaucer! She is growing too fast....

10. I love Target.

11. Mom, are we doing holiday baking this year? I have done my own baking here and there this holiday season, but usually we do a big baking day together. It is kinda weird that I am not working this year... that is where a lot of my holiday baking went--- coworkers, kids, etc. Hmmmmmmmmm

12. Norm and Kristen are still going strong! I love that my best friend is dating my brother. If they get married, she will be my and Stacy's sister!!!

13. I love Christmas shopping and picking out gifts for people. I also LOVE wrapping presents.

14. There are several movies I want to watch. I feel like Jared and I used to watch movies all the time. (before kids) Guess that is one thing that stops when you start having babies....

15. I am watching X FACTOR. I was really sad when Drew went home. I really liked her...

16. Jayden is going to turn in to a blueberry muffin. He pretty much eats them every single day...not exaggerating. He LOVES muffins. (and fruit snacks and cereal and cheese)

17. Yesterday, we went shopping as a family for our yearly ornaments. When Jared and I got married, we started our own tradition where we go to the store together and pick out an ornament for each other. I got Jared a cute Snoopy ornament. Snoopy is grilling a hot dog! haha It reminded me of Jared because he always grills for me. And who doesn't love a good grilled hot dog??? Jayden got two- a Thomas ornament and a Mickey Mouse ornament. Bella got two, too- a Baby's first Christmas and a Minnie Mouse. They are all very cute!!!

18. Tonight, Jared went out to dinner with all the other Store Managers in his district, and his district manager. She is really nice (the district mgr) to take them all out to eat to Texas de Brazil--jared's fav!- Jayden and I ordered a pizza.

19. Bella is waking up...and I need to feed her...so that's all of my random thoughts for now!

xoxo

Santa!

Last night, we went down to Bass Pro Shop for dinner and a visit with SANTA! Jayden is terrified of Santa, so he declined the offer to sit on Santa's lap. Isabella did just fine, though! She sat on his lap and tugged on his big white beard. She actually got her fingers all tangled up in his beard so much- it is a good thing this was a REAL beard because Bella would have pulled it right off this guy's face! haha I apologized to Santa, but he assured me that Bella was not the first to pull on his beard. :)

We had so much fun! *Thanks to Nana for making friends with the elf who got us to the front of the line. hehe*

Ho Ho Ho!

Isabella is FOUR months old!

Our little Tinkerbell is FOUR months old (as of 12/4/11). She is doing awesome. She has made so much progress with her reflux/stomach issues. She is a happy little girl and she smiles and laughs so much! At about 3 months, she started sleeping through the night. She takes her last bottle at 10:00PM -ish and wakes up around 7-8:00AM -ish. We do have to put the paci back several times, BUT we can't complain too much! She is doing great!

I am so glad we have her medicine and formula figured out now. Jared and I feel so blessed to have two healthy and happy children!

Today, she had her four month well check at the Dr. We have grown pretty close with our pediatician from going so much. She could not believe how well sweet Isabella was doing. She saw us heading back to the room with the nurse and came over and was going on and on about how happy Isabella was, etc.

The nurse came in first to get Bella's stats....

HT 25.5 in (90%)
WT 13# 2 oz (50%)
HC 39.5 cm (25%)

The nurse measured her twice because she couldn't believe how much she has grown length wise since her two month check-up!

Let's see how she has grown:

Weight:
Birth: 6# 10 oz
2 weeks: 6# 14 oz
1 month: 8# 12 oz
2 months: 10# 5 oz
4 months: 13# 2 oz

Height:
Birth: 20 in.
2 weeks: 20.25 in.
1 month: 21.5 in.
2 months: 22.75 in.
4 months: 25.5 in.

She had her 4 month shots, too. When we got home, I took some pictures of her with her little pink camo bandaids on her little legs. :(

She did fine for the shots. She SCREAMED, but just for a minute, then she was nice and cozy with her paci in my arms. :)

close up:

sweet little girl... battle wounds!

OK....So, Jayden was getting slightly jealous of Bella's bandaids! He kept saying, "I want those!" as he pointed to her pink camo bandaids. Finally, after he continued asking for them, I gave in and took him upstairs to get him some bandaids, too! What can I say? :)

Then, Jayden wanted me to take pictures of his legs because that is what I had done for Bella. He is quite a character.

So, here are some pictures of Jayden laying beside his sister showing off his pretend battle wounds....

Look how long Jayden is!

Finally, here are Isabella's 4 month pictures in her bed. She is wearing her Christmas dress and red shoes from Grammie (Jared's mom). It is DECEMBER, you know! (our favorite month!)

on her flower rug made by Grace....

Happy four month birthday, little sweetie!!! xoxoxo
