Jayden is SIX MONTHS old!!!

Yesterday was Jayden's half birthday! He is six months old!

What has been going on with Jayden?

-he is so ticklish and laughs so much when tickled on his feet and neck
-wears size 3 diapers
-celebrated his first Valentine's Day!
-cut first two teeth on the bottom (almost 24 weeks)
-drools a lot!
-"brushes" his teeth
-drank from a sippy cup for the first time
-gotten to experience a LOT of snow!!!! (and stayed home with me because of all the snow days!!) ...even went "sledding" in the homemade sled/container :)
-started eating Stage 1 baby foods and has liked everything!!! So far, he has had carrots, squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, applesauce, bananas, as well as oatmeal and rice cereals
-he is on such a great schedule and sleeps so well at night! :)
-still LOVES bath time!!!
-still LOVES Target (of course!) haha

Jayden is such a precious baby boy... we love him so much!!!!!!!!!!

Snow Vaycay!

I never would have thought that when I left work on Friday, January 29 I would not be back until... well, who knows! We did go 2 Thursdays ago (Feb 4) on a delay. We were supposed to have a 2 hour delay today, but we got more snow last night. Not a lot, but enough to cause several wrecks for the morning commute causing schools to close.

You won't find me complaining. I do miss my class a lot. I do miss all my teacher friends. It will be nice to get back into a routine of some sort. However, I am enjoying every minute of being home with Jayden!

So much for the month of February in school. Before we know it, it will be sprig break and then summer! And I have a feeling we have not seen the last of snow this year! Usually, we get our snow in March... I guess we will see!

For now, I am going to enjoy my Tuesday. My snow vacation will be over soon...most likely tomorrow. Maybe it will be a delay... I'll need to ease back in slowly!

my Valentines

first toothbrush

Now that Jayden has two sparklin' new pearly whites it is time to get him used to brushing them. Of course, we do NOT use toothpaste, just his little baby toothbrush. Grammie actually gave Jayden the toothbrush at my baby shower because of Jared's "obsession" with toothbrushes. Jayden caught on quick! haha

Today I gave Jayden a little bit of water in a sippy cup to see how he would do. It was the cutest thing. He did not want to let go of it! He is so funny!





P.S. He did much better with the carrots last night. He loved them! :)

Last night Jayden tried carrots for the first time!

...I don't think he cared for them too much, but we will try again tonight!

On a side note... I am still home on SNOW vacation. hehehe WE had a true blizzard round 2 today. Heavy winds and white out conditions... and we were dumped with another 6 inches on top of the 25 we just got this weekend. The weather forcast is even callng for MORE snow on Monday! I wonder when we will go back to school. I feel so bad for all my friends around here that have no power. Several of the school in my county even have no power... crazyyyyy! And for all the inquiring minds saying we are going to be in school making up days until July.... NOPE! We do have to make up 5 days, but after that we don't. We make up for it every day because we have longer school days......
