lovin' snow day #3

Today is snow day #3 for me! These snow das could not have come at a better time. We have been packing up everything and doing LOADS and LOADS of laundry. Jared tried going to work on Monday, but ended up turning around because it took him almost 1 hour to get to I95 when it should take about 10 minutes or less. Knowing he had many more miles to travel and seeing cars slipping and sliding was not worth it, so he came home! We spent the day packing and watching movies! Tuesday was already a day off for him so we got to continue the packing and movie watching! Jared did have to go back to work today, but I was happy to have another snow day! I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon so we will be going to that together later. This is good for me because since school is closed, I do not have to use a half day to go to my appointment! :)

Today is just a regular check up...three more weeks until the big check up where we get to have an ultrasound and *hopefully* find out the sex of the baby!!! I hope the next three weeks go by fast because we are so excited to find out. I am sure with moving and catching up on school work, they will fly by.

Snow Day- March 2, 2009

I love snow days! It sucks when we have to make them up at school... but it is so nice to see on the news that your work is cancelled! Snow is awesome!!! We took Fred out to play this morning... the snow is so pretty!!!

I am only posting these pictures because several people have been asking to see my belly growing! I think I just look fat rather than pregnant, but here they are:


2 1/2 months:

We're Moving...

...down the street!!!

So, lately we have really been talking about how much we wish we had more space! Right now we have a 2 bedroom apartment that we love! It's just getting to be a little small. Since we ordered the baby furniture last weekend, we thought how great it would be to move into a 3 bedroom place where we could have a "real" nursery and a "real" guest bedroom. We looked into a townhouse, but to break our lease now would be a ridiculous amount of money... so if we moved out of these apartments before July when our lease is up would be stupid for us! We asked our apartment about a bigger apartment here... There was only one available that was on the 3rd floor and we do NOT want to be on the 3rd floor!!! Anyways, to make a long story short- today we found out that just what we wanted is available! AND WE MOVE IN ONE WEEK! Lucky for me, I am pregnant and can't lift. So Jared and my loving family are going to come help! I will make sure it gets decorated while they do all the lifting! I'm sure I will post more about it next week as we move into our newer (and bigger) apartment! We are really happy and can't believe how fast this happened. Oh, and even though we are "breaking our lease" all the fees are being waived since we have lived here almost 2 years and we're staying tin the same complex. :)

Baby Furniture

Yesterday was a very exciting day for us because we ORDERED BABY FURNITURE!!! We got a beautiful set from Babies R Us. I LOVE it!!!
We also bought the hutch and nightstand, but they are not in the picture above. This is what they look like:

We seriously love it and can't wait to set up the nursery. We are just going to wait until we find out if it's a boy or girl. :) It's perfect timing that we got it yesterday because it takes several weeks for it all to come in... the nightstand was a special order and that piece takes up to 12 weeks!

Jared and I have also decided that we are going to look for another place to live. We love our apartment now, but it is going to get slightly cramped. Not knowing for sure when Jared will be moved at Target, we are not going to buy a house, but we are thinking about renting a town house. We'll see....

I forgot to put these in my last post, so here it is now. For Valentine's Day, Stacy and my mom gave Jared and I the cutest little booties for Baby Barsanti.

Thinking it is a girl... they went with my favorite... pink! They are so adorable!



In case it is a boy... brown would be better than pink! haha So they got the brown ones, too!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is Valentine's Day! Jared came home from work with a yummy surprise... a slice of cookie cake! :)

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last blog, but I just have not had time. Any extra time I get all I feel like doing is laying on the couch. I still have not been able to stay awake past 9 or 9:30 pm. I am pathetic! Or I am just pregnant and I guess it is normal for me to feel tired. :)

Thursday, my class celebrated Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is worse than Christmas or any other holiday at school. "Worse" may not be the right word... Valentine's Day is pretty much the best day at school for kids... just completely exhausting for teachers!!! Knowing I had a doctor's appointment on Friday afternoon, I planned our Valentine's party for Thursday afternoon. I had many parents come join, lots of yummy food, and best of all- the kids delivered their sweet valentine cards to the class. It was really fun watching their faces light up as they delivered and opened all their cards and goodies.

Yesterday afternoon, yes Friday the 13th, I had my 13 week doctor's appointment. Everything went well so that's good! My blood pressure was good, urine sample was good (last time they said I needed to drink more water), and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. :) I go back March 4 for a regular 16 week apoinment and then 3 weeks later at 19 weeks I have my next ultrasound and we get to find out the sex of the baby!!!! That will be on March 25. I think it is a girl, but then again, it is probably a boy! I don't care either way, but as soon as I find out I am going SHOPPING!
